Tether freezes 32 addresses containing $870k linked to illicit activity in Israel and Ukraine

Tether, the leading global stablecoin company, has restated its commitment to collaborating closely with law enforcement authorities worldwide in order to address the issue of terrorism and conflict financed by cryptocurrencies. Thus far, Tether has provided assistance to 31 authorities on a global scale, conducting investigations in 19 different countries. This collaboration has resulted in the freezing of a cumulative sum of $835 million in assets, mostly linked to theft incidents such as blockchain and exchange hacks. A smaller fraction of these frozen assets may be attributed to other criminal activities.  Of this total, $873,118.34 was frozen from 32 addresses on Tether after they were connected to illegal activities in Israel and Ukraine, according to the company in a blog post on October 16. ETH sending addresses hit 8-month high amid $1,600 retest

Ethereum (ETH) currently faces mixed sentiments as it witnesses a bullish and bearish metrics surge, including an 8-month high number of sending addresses. Glassnode called attention to these metrics in a series of disclosures on X (formerly Twitter). The leading crypto data provider highlighted four critical metrics demonstrating investor sentiments in the Ethereum market as the asset retests $1,600. The first metric underscores a decline in addresses receiving Ethereum over the past seven days. Bitcoin accumulation addresses near record 800K despite whale selling

Someone has been accumulating BTC throughout the 2022 Bitcoin bear market, and the trend shows no sign of reversing. Bitcoin (BTC) accumulation is nearing a new milestone this Christmas as redistribution of the BTC supply continues. Data from on-chain analytics firm Glassnode shows that the total BTC balance of so-called “accumulation addresses” is nearing all-time highs.
