XRP flips BNB to rank as 3rd largest cryptocurrency

XRP has surged past Binance Coin (BNB) to reclaim its position as the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, driven by short-term buying pressure. As of press time, XRP’s market capitalization had climbed to about $158 billion, overtaking BNB’s $156 billion. The token is trading at $2.63, up 3.43% in the past 24 hours and 12.8% over the past week, marking one of the strongest performances among the top five digital assets. Circle vs. Tether: What's in the reserves?

Circle’s USDC and Tether’s USDT are the two largest stablecoins in the world, with a combined market capitalization of over $210 billion. However, the two tokens vary significantly in size, with USDT making up approximately $150 billion of that total. From this dominant position, Tether has been able to grow to achieve truly incredible profits, reporting that it earned $13 billion in 2024. This is compared to a mere $156 million for Circle. XRP rival breaks out as crypto market turns green

Stellar (XLM) has emerged as a standout performer in the current short-term cryptocurrency market rally, outpacing some of its rivals, including XRP. At press time, sustained buying pressure has pushed XLM’s price to rally 6.7% in the last 24 hours, trading at $0.26. Similarly, on the weekly chart, the token is also in the green, up over 8%. The cumulative 24-hour capitalizations peaked at approximately $8.06 billion before settling at $7.91 billion as of press time. MicroStrategy bought 2.6% of circulating bitcoin at $67,458 apiece

According to Michael Saylor’s latest announcement, the world’s largest bitcoin holding company now owns 528,185 BTC. That is more than 2.6% of bitcoin’s circulating supply. Personally, Saylor also owns at least 17,000 additional bitcoin. Combined, therefore, he and the company he founded own over 2.7% of bitcoin’s $1.6 trillion market capitalization. MicroStrategy, doing business as Strategy, is a highly leveraged speculator on bitcoin’s price. Strategy currently owes $8.2 billion in US dollar-denominated debts. Bitcoin and Ethereum Relatively Muted, APE and BTT Rally

  Bitcoin price is holding the key USD 20,000 support. Ethereum is facing resistance near USD 1,250, XRP is consolidating near USD 0.35. APE and BTT are the two best performers today. After declining below the USD 21,000 level, BTC stayed above the USD 20,500 support zone and managed to surpass USD 21,000 again. It is currently (11:47 UTC) trading in a range near USD 21,000 and is down almost 2% in a day and up 2% in a week. Similarly, most major altcoins are stuck above key supports. ETH is back above USD 1,200 but faces hurdles near USD 1,250. XRP is now trading just below the USD 0.35 pivot level. ADA is still at a risk of more losses unless it reclaims USD 0.50.
