Trezor reveals 66,000 users could face phishing attacks

Hardware wallet Trezor has announced that a security breach at a third-party support portal may have exposed up to 66,000 users. Iranian crypto exchange exposes KYC data of 230,000 users, investigation reveals

Iranian crypto trading platform Bit24.cash has apparently inadvertently exposed the sensitive data of nearly 230,000 users , according to recent research. According to an investigation conducted by Cybernews, the Iranian crypto exchange Bit24.cash misconfigured a high-performance object storage system instance, inadvertently granting access to cloud storage containers containing the platform’s Know Your Customer (KYC) data. The researchers learned that approximately 230,000 Iranian citizens have fallen victim to a misconfiguration, which led to the exposure of their written consent to regulations, along with sensitive details such as passports, IDs, and credit cards. In a commentary to Cybernews, a spokesperson for Bit24.cash called the claims “inaccurate and misleading,” emphasizing that there is no evidence of a data breach or unauthorized access to sensitive user information. Disaster relief or marketing ploy? Binance airdrops BNB to users in Morocco and Libya

Troubled crypto exchange Binance has pledged to airdrop up to $3 million worth of its BNB token to users affected by the earthquake in Morocco and up to $500,000 in BNB to those living in areas impacted by the floods in Libya — but some aid experts say that it screams marketing ploy rather than genuine disaster relief. In two separate press releases, Binance pledged to airdrop $100 worth of BNB to those who have already completed proof of address (POA) checks in Libya and Morocco. Only Binance users identified as living in areas affected by the natural disasters will be eligible — those who provide POA afterwards will receive $25 in BNB, and all active users will be airdropped $10 in the native token.
