VanEck Files For First Binance Coin (BNB) ETF In The US

Investment manager VanEck has filed to establish a trust entity for the first BNB ETF (exchange-traded fund) in the US. Public records from the official Delaware state website show the firm registered the VanEck BNB ETF on March 31 under the filing number 10148820. Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, aka CZ, shared the news in an X post earlier today.  VanEck BNB ETF First Of Its Kind In The US The formation of a trust is one of the first steps a company takes when in the process of launching an ETF. VanEck’s proposed BNB ETF now heads to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for review. With the leading cryptocurrency nearing a return to its all-time high, it could factor into the BRICS alliance, with one VanEck executive saying the bloc is likely to increase its Bitcoin adoption in the future. Specifically, the firm notes that the asset could be key in the collective’s growing global trade. The BRICS has just concluded its long-awaited 2024 Summit. There, they highlighted the need to continue its ongoing de-dollarization efforts but also assured it will not be creating new infrastructure to support such an endeavor. BlackRock and VanEck have started advertising campaigns for its spot Bitcoin ETFs on Google, as its previously announced ad policy update took place today.  For the first time in five years, Google has opened its extensive advertising network to specific crypto -related offerings, notably the newly introduced spot Bitcoin ETFs. This marks a notable change from the company’s stance in March 2018, when it, alongside Facebook, banned crypto currency-related advertisements. The ban was widely interpreted as a precaution against the increasing number of scams associated with the crypto sector.
