Whale Buys Chainlink Cryptocurrency Worth $16.5 Million

A mysterious whale has made a new entry into ChainLink cryptocurrency by accumulating 663,580 tokens on Sunday. The whale spent a staggering $16.5 million in the ordeal, holding more than half a million LINK in the wallet. The wallet address had previously indulged in swing trading Chainlink two years ago and took home a profit of $1.72 million. Solana Rises As BlackRock Brings Its $1,700,000,000 Tokenized Treasury Fund to Ethereum Rival’s Chain

Solana (SOL) is green on the day on reports that BlackRock is moving its blockchain-based money market fund onto the Ethereum (ETH) competitor’s network. Fortune reports that the world’s largest asset manager is adding its $1.7 billion BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL) to the Solana blockchain. Solana is trading for $145 at time of writing, up nearly 19% in the last week. Launched a year ago, BUIDL uses traditional money market funds, which investors use to store cash in the near term and earn yield on it, combined with blockchain payment properties. Solana is now the seventh blockchain compatible with the tokenized money market fund BUIDL, after its initial launch on Ethereum. Sotheby's will auction off part of 3AC's digital art collection

Among the pieces being auctioned include a zombie CryptoPunk and Autoglyphs from Larva Labs as well as Dmitri Cherniak’s artwork ‘The Golden Goose’. Sotheby’s auction house said it will be selling off a digital artwork collection formed as part of collapsed crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital, or 3AC. In an April 19 announcement, Sotheby’s said it would auction off nonfungible token, or NFT, artwork assembled as part of 3AC’s digital portfolio in 2021. The firm will begin the auction with sales of seven NFTs that are part of the ‘Grails’ collection in May, described as “some of the highest quality and rarest works,” according to Sotheby's head of digital art Michael Bouhanna. Russia's largest bank issued gold-backed digital financial assets

The issuance became the second major operations of the bank with the new class of assets. Russia’s largest bank Sber — formerly known as Sberbank — reported the first issue of gold-backed digital financial assets (DFAs). The bank considers DFAs to be a “great alternative” to investments amid dedollarization. On Dec. 26, Sber published the news about its first issue of gold-backed DFAs. A diversified metals seller and manufacturer, Solfer, became the first investor to obtain the issued assets. Gold-backed DFAs represent certifying monetary rights, whose price and volume depend on gold prices. According to juridical documentation of the issuance, the bank will provide up to 150,000 DFAs for potential investors to buy. The DFAs will be available to acquire until Jul 30, 2023.
