Bitcoin privacy wallet says Jack Dorsey’s mining pool censored their transactions

Image
Jack Dorsey, former CEO of Twitter, and Luke Dash Jr., a Bitcoin Core developer, created a new Bitcoin (BTC) mining pool called OCEAN. Its creation surged amid controversy in the community while openly filtering Ordinals and BRC-20 transactions. On December 6, a privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet, Samourai Wallet, said that OCEAN is also censoring their transactions. According to Samourai Wallet, OCEAN has conclusively filtered their “Whirlpool coinjoin and BIP47 notification transactions.” Notably, Luke Dash Jr. answered the post, claiming there is a bug on the wallet’s software and not on OCEAN’s side. This is a bug in your software, not an intentional policy on our end. Why are you exceeding the standard 42 byte datacarrier size? What is this data even for? I've looked at trying to workaround it, but can't find any technical details. In any case, you should fix it on your… — Luke Dashjr (@LukeDashjr) December 7, 2023 Samourai Wallet could not directly answer this cla...

Solana Labs' ChatGPT plugin allows AI to fetch blockchain data

The plugin will allow the AI chatbot to check wallet balances, transfer tokens and purchase NFTs when OpenAI makes plugins more widely available. Solana (SOL) users will soon be able to interact with the network through an open-source plugin enabled on OpenAI’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT. The plugin will allow ChatGPT to check wallet balances, transfer Solana-native tokens and purchase nonfungible tokens (NFTs) when Open AI makes plugin s available, according to an April 25 tweet by Solana Labs, the development firm behind the Solana blockchain . Solana Labs is also encouraging developers to test out the open-source code to retrieve on-chain data that they may be interested in. Users will be able to check wallet balances, transfer tokens, and purchase NFTs once ChatGPT plugins are available. pic.twitter.c...

After scalability, privacy is the next big thing in the blockchain space

Image
Ethereum has adopted PoS and rollups to become faster and more eco-friendly, but now it’s time to focus on enhancing privacy. Public blockchain s provide decentralization and transparency, but they lack on the Privacy side. The anonymity of transactions on blockchain s like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) is steadily losing ground, as transactions and addresses are easily tracked. With KYC imposed on most crypto exchanges, the majority of Blockchain transactions can be traced to their initiators, exposing user activity, holdings, and financial data. Even decentralized finance (DeFi) interactions can be easily monitored by advanced on-chain analysis systems. This is why privacy is just as important as speed and scalability for crypto to reach mainstream acceptance. Average consumers expect at least bank account level privacy to freely transact and RAILGUN is a ZK (Zero-Knowledge) based solution for existing blockchains that provides such wallet-level privacy. The utility of digital as...
